The burglary happened in the Hunderton area of the city between 12pm and 5pm on Monday, October 8, with the woman, who is in her 80s, being present at the time.

This is not the first time that she has been a victim of crime, which is why police installed a camera inside her house.

Hope that the victim is not suffering too much.
I wish to congratulate the Police for taking this course of action.
Hopefully, the offenders are identified, arrested and receive their just punishment in Court .( the sad thing is that I have no confidence in the Court system, it's weighed in favour of the alleged offender).

I agree with Ubique, yet another victim unfortunatly, people picking on the vunerable (my mother lay dying of cancer as a conman ripped them off!) no doubt the courts will only give them a slap on the wrist and ask them to be good boys!!

Occasionally, the courts get it right - I was heartened to see the scumbags who dressed as cats and seriously assaulted someone on his way to work each received a 3 year prison sentence. They both had a list of previous convictions for nasty assaults and one had only been released 2 weeks previously. Personally I'd have given them 10 years, but at least they'll be off the streets for at least 18 months.

80 years old. Present at the time.
Poor thing must have been terrified.

Shame we don't have public hangings any more. A gibbett would be a very appropriate punishment.
