WOMEN can turn their bras into a work this month of art as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Cobalt, a charity supporting people affected by cancer and life-limiting illnesses, with the help of local fashion designer Jan Knibbs, wants women to be as creative as they can in making art from old bras.

The appeal aims to raise £160,000 to fund state-of-the-art digital mammography equipment for Hereford County Hospital.

Jan Knibbs, from Whitchurch, said: “Two of my dear friends have been affected by breast cancer, so it is a cause close to my heart.”

All entries must be posted to Clear About Breast Cancer appeal, c/o Debra Floyd, The County Hospital, Union Walk, Hereford HR1 2ER by 5pm on October 18 with a contact number.

All “bra art” entered will be exhibited at art360 in Bridge Street, Hereford, from October 26 to November 2.

To donate bras, call 01242 535922.
