Running for Teddy and Birmingham Children's Hospital
Ready to run a half marathon are Lizzie Davidson, Pip Bullock with her three-year-old nephew Teddy Rogers and Emma Reddock.
THREE friends are running a half marathon for a “cheeky little” three-year-old who is fighting leukaemia.
Teddy Rogers, who lives with mum, Lyndsey, and dad, Thomas, in Monkland, near Leominster, was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) – cancer of the blood and bone marrow – earlier this year.
His aunt Pip Bullock, along with friends Lizzie Davidson and Emma Reddock, are now training to tackle the Birmingham Half Marathon on October 21 to raise money for the Birmingham Children’s Hospital Cancer Centre Appeal.
Teddy spent more than a month in the oncology and haematology ward of Birmingham Children’s Hospital after being diagnosed, undergoing various tests and chemotherapy. He goes back to the day care centre for weekly treatment or if he has a serious infection.
