Runners ready for Credenhill canter

A FUN run and race in memory of twins who died prematurely will take place this weekend.

Sunday’s Credenhill Canter, a 10 kilometre race around the village, will raise money for Hereford County Hospital’s special care baby unit.

The event will take place in memory of twins Freddie and Alfie Lancaster who died in July 2008.

It is being organised by their parents Ian and Michelle.

Organisers say the event will have an Olympic theme having fallen between the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

They are asking anyone attending to bring along Union Flags to wave off the runners and welcome them back.

A fun run around Roman Park starts at 2pm while the main race begins an hour later.

Both set off from the Credenhill Social and Sports Club.
