Longtown Show goes on - despite the rain

THE Longtown Show has been moved following this week's heavy rain.
Llanwonog Farm was due to host the rural event tomorrow.
But the ground at the farm is now too wet, particularly around the proposed car park.
Therefore, the event has been moved to Longtown village hall where a large marquee has been erected to ensure the show goes on - whatever the weather.
Show secretary Carol Powell said: “It’s a real family day out with plenty to see and do.
“People from all over come and lots of local people help out whether it’s volunteering on the gates or washing up in the Women’s Institute tent.”
