Car and cyclist in collision in Leominster - road closed

A YOUNG cyclist has been airlifted to hospital with serious head injuries after being in collision with a car in Leominster this evening.

The crash happened on the B4361 Hereford Road, at the junction of Laundry Lane.

Police closed the road, between Southern Avenue and the A49, at around 5.30pm and it is understood that it could be shut for a while.

It is understood that the cyclist was a boy and he was taken to hospital in a critical condition.

Terrible junction to exit from especially when morons frequently park over the entry/exit. View on to the main road is VERY restricted. Something NEEDS to be done there to make it safer.
