FIREFIGHTERS were called to a blaze at an historic Hereford building last night - hours after crews put out a fire at the same venue.

Five pumps were sent to the Farmers Club on Widemarsh Street just before 9pm following reports of a blaze from a commercial deep fat fryer.

The fire is then thought to have spread to other parts of the building.

Earlier in the day, at around 7am, firefighters put out an electrical fire on the ground floor.

The two are believed to be unrelated.
