Three sisters are running through London in memory of their brother who died in a car crash.

Gemma Thomas, Hannah Warr and Verity Warr will run the British 10k Run on July 8.

Warr who died, aged 21, last August. Richard, who was from Pencombe, died after the pick-up truck he was driving near Shobdon was in collision with a car driven by Claire Barlow.

Claire, who was 24 and from Presteigne, died at the scene.

Ten months on, Richard’s family and friends want to raise money for the Midlands Air Ambulance. His sisters will run the London race with a group of close friends from Bromyard.

“Before we started training many of the girls taking part could barely run a mile without needing to stop,” said Gemma, 24.

“Rich’s zest for life has kept us all motivated and made the training possible. One thing that’s for sure, Rich would love a load of his girlfriends running in short shorts in his name as he was always a bit of a ladies’ man.”

To sponsor the girls text WARR89 to 70070 and follow the instructions you receive.
