Woman dies following crash near Hay-on-Wye

A WOMAN who was involved in an accident near Hay-on-Wye last week has died in hospital from her injuries.

The collision between the car she was driving and a lorry happened on the junction of the A438 and B4350 last Friday evening (May 11).

She was pulled from her car by a passer-by, who began to resuscitate her before paramedics arrived.

The woman, who was in her 40s, was airlfited to Queen Elizabeth Hospital with serious chest, pelvic, arm and leg injuries.

Dyfed Powys Police have confirmed to the Hereford Times that she has since died in hospital and a coroner has been informed.
