Fostering recruitment roadshow in Hereford

ANYONE interested in fostering a child or young person are invited to talk to carers and the council’s fostering team in Hereford next week.

There are currently 240 children being looked after in the county and the number is growing.

“When a child or young person needs looking after, it is important that they retain some continuity in their lives,” said team manager Joanna King.

“As long as it’s safe for them to do so, they need to stay at the same school, live in the same area and retain the same friends.”

The recruitment roadshow will be in High Town on Thursday from 9.30am to 3.30pm.
