A Ross-on-Wye business that has won the past two races in the town’s annual pancake race will have to share the title this time.
Truffles Delicatessen were going for the hat-trick on yesterday but weren’t banking on Essential Sewing Services to “crepe” up on them - meaning that the traders race was a dead heat.
“They would have to share the pan for six months each,” said Helen Kiddy, from Essential Sewing Services, who is also the street representative on Gloucester Road for the Association of Ross Traders (ART).
“We had eight races altogether and had hundreds of people turn out.”
