Two rock cover bands to perform to raise money for Acorns

TWO rock cover bands are to join together on Saturday to try and raise as much money as possible for children's charity Acorns.

King Mantis and Rocky Road to Ruin will be playing at TGS Bowling from 8pm.

King Mantis have more than 10 years professional performing experience and reached the final in the Welsh National Battle of the Bands just nine months after forming and have played at numerous festivals in Wales.

They were also offered a £250,000 recording contract, but decided to "keep playing the hard way".

The bands are looking for businesses to donated raffle prizes.
