Petition to scrap car park fees at Hereford County Hospital

A CAMPAIGN to scrap car parking charges at Hereford County Hospital is gathering pace.
Liberal Democrat parliamentary candidate Sarah Carr said she has been inundated with hunderds of responses to her petition calling for changes to charges she described as unfair.
“It is of course really important that free parking is only used by people using the hospital and there are many ticket schemes that can be used to make sure that the free parking is not exploited by people just going into town,” she said.
Mrs Carr hopes to send the petition to NHS Herefordshire at the end of April.
When she started the campaign, Hereford Hospitals Trust said it intended to review concessionary charges but was awaiting the outcome of a national Government study into hospital parking charges.
