AN American woman descended from the Hereford family in Mordiford is travelling to the county for a wedding blessing.

Ruth Hereford and husband Roger Flemming, who currently live near Burtonupon- Trent, Staffordshire, will attend the Americant h e m e d S u f t o n F e t e i n Mordiford this Saturday.

It will be followed by a dinn e r f o r g u e s t s a t t h e r e - o p e n e d L e f t B a n k a n d a w e d d i n g p a r t y o n t h e Saturday evening.

R u t h , w h o i s o r i g i n a l l y from Las Vegas, in Nevada, and Roger will have their w e d d i n g b l e s s e d a t M o r d i f o r d c h u r c h o n Sunday.

The events will double up as a celebration of American Independence Day.

S a t u r d a y ’ s S u f t o n F e t e takes place between 2pm and 5pm, with funds going to Mordiford Church.
