A CITY supermarket has helped pupils from St Martin's Primary School in Hereford enjoy fun days in the woods.

Tesco in Belmont donated 15 pairs of wellies to the Wye Wood Project at Aconbury Woods.

Over the summer term, the St Martin's pupils have learnt how to chop wood, light a fire without matches, and build dens.

The money came from Tesco’s Community Budget.

Kate Lawes, project officer for the Wye Wood Project, said the project was very grateful for Tesco’s contribution.
