A HOST of Bishops from across the world have visited Herefordshire en route to the Lambeth Conference.
The bench, from as far afield as New Zealand, the USA and Tanzania, took part in a tour of Hereford Cathedral and the Mappa Mundi exhibition before travelling to north Worcestershire, where they enjoyed a ride on the Severn Valley Railway.
The visitors included Bishop Susan Moxley from Canada, thought to be the first female bishop the county has ever hosted, and Mariann Price, wife of the Bishop of Ohio, whose ancestors left Herefordshire for America in the late 19th century.
The bishops stayed with host families across the Diocese.
They left the county earlier this week to head for Canterbury, where the 10-yearly Lambeth Conference will be held.
