THE family of a baby boy who defied the odds when he was born 17 weeks early, have been fundraising for the hospitals that cared for him.
Little Tom Pugh was born at 23 weeks and his parents Emma and Gary Pugh spent weeks commuting to Birmingham Women’s Hospital and Hereford Special Care Unit until he was ready to go home.
The family from Little Dewchurch held a charity night at the Welsh Club in Hereford and raised more than £1,500.
Mrs Pugh said: “I would like to say thank you to all the acts who performed free of charge, Caz, Bonnie, Ady, Sherrie and Lee and special thanks to Blue/Crystal Balls who put the entertainment together.
“Thanks also to Gary Probert who raised more than £100 for the fund with a charity football game.”
