A TRAMPOLINE centre is coming to Hereford.

Planning permission has been given to turn land at the former Joseph Ash Galvanizing site in Burcott Road into a trampoline arena.

The planning report said: "Trampoline arenas typically use converted industrial or warehouse spaces as they require a large amount of interior floor space, all of which must be at least double height, to accommodate the needs of trampolines and access platforms with the additional requirement of leaving enough space above for safe use.

"Additionally, the trampoline centre is filled with custom made trampolines, crash mats and other play equipment. As such it would not be feasible to build a new facility and the conversion of a warehouse proves to be an ideal option as this gives the volume of space that is readily adaptable as well as providing an industrial aesthetic that is part of the Trampoline Centre’s brand."

There will also be a cafe at the site, and five units for B1 (business) use.

Joseph Ash closed its Hereford site in 2015. The application also states that the proposals will generate up to 20 full time and a further 20 part time jobs.
