A TWO-day Christmas extravaganza at a county home and garden store raised £6,000 for the Midlands Air Ambulance charity.

The event took place at Holloways home and garden store in Suckley and the money was raised through entry tickets to the Christmas marketplace and a percentage of the sales from the store and luxury stall holders.

The extravaganza included gifts for tots and teens, domestic goddesses and gardeners, home designers, fashion lovers and beauty addicts. As part of the event, shoppers were treated to free refreshments by Holloways.

Michelle McCracken, Worcestershire regional fundraising manager for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, said: "The money raised will go towards funding two lifesaving air ambulance missions, and will also enable the charity to purchase vital medical equipment to carry on board the aircraft."

Each air ambulance mission costs £2,500, all of which is funded by charitable donations from the general public and local businesses. Holloways donation is therefore extremely important to Midlands Air Ambulance Charity.

Business owner, Diane Holloway, added: “Many thanks also go to our sponsors, boutique estate agency Morgan Aps, for their support, we couldn't do it without them.”
