A POPULAR county brewery has added its support to a network which is working on a sustainable future for Herefordshire.

Wye Valley Brewery, which is based at Stoke Lacy, has provided funding to the Herefordshire Green Network (HGN).

For the past seven years more than 40 local environmental organisations have been meeting regularly to share ideas and actions on energy saving projects in the county.

The basis of the work of the HGN is good relationships, and this extends from grass root community groups through to local businesses and strategic organisations in the region.

Abbie Gadd of Wye Valley Brewery said: “We are delighted to support Herefordshire Green Network and their work to create a more sustainable county.

"This fits in with Wye Valley Brewery’s commitment to brewing beautiful beers using the finest local ingredients, whilst caring for our local community and looking after the land so that it remains beautiful for generations to come”.

The funding will help HGN continue to provide support for the efforts of its member groups in towns and villages around the county and has also supported the sustainability festival h.Energy.
