A SCHOOL visit to St Michael’s shop in Hinton, Hereford, has inspired six entrepreneurial pupils from Madley Primary School to convert an old shed into a fundraising venture.
The enterprising students raised £202.25 by asking friends, staff and parents for donations which they then spent their break times sorting out before selling the merchandise after school.
Learning support assistant, Tracey Duffy, said: “The children involved exemplify our school values, and they have been an inspiration to staff and their fellow pupils.”
Ruth Denison, from St Michael’s, added: “It was a real pleasure to meet the children and hear about everything they’ve learnt.
“It’s wonderful to think these children might go on to run their own successful enterprise in the future and that it all started from them setting out to support charity.”
