BACK in March, the Hereford Times launched an appeal that we knew people would truly believe in enough to support.

We asked for your help to change the lives of 10 children by raising enough money for them to receive the conductive education offered by Megan Baker House (MBH), based near Leominster, for one year.

For 15 years the charity has been helping children and teenagers with motor disabilities – including cerebral palsy, head injuries, stroke, and dyspraxia which makes it hard for them to cope with everyday tasks that we take for granted – to develop the skills needed to progress as young adults.

And thanks to your incredible support, the Project Chrysalis campaign has now reached the £10,000 milestone.

MBH Chief Executive Lee Gough said: "I am so grateful to so many people who have done different things for us and it is brilliant to have reached this.

"It's been done in so many different ways with coffee mornings and events held by the WI and various fundraising activities that people have undertaken. Others have seen the articles and thought they might leave something to us in their will but have decided to donate it to us now instead.

"We had a fantastic weekend at Lakefest recently – thank you to everybody that came along and saw us and supported us in many different ways.

"This was a real opportunity for us to reach more people and there was quite a high level of interest in what we do."

Over the last three months we've brought you some of the incredible success stories to have come out of Megan Baker House – stories from parents who describe the charity as a 'lifeline'.

We're not stopping here. We want to reach our £35,000 target so that other children can receive this life-changing help provided by the specialist team at Megan Baker House.

Can you help us reach our target? Let us know if you're planning a fundraising event, send us your photographs and let's change more lives together.
