PUPILS from ten primary schools packed out a screen at Hereford's Odeon cinema to watch a film they helped create.
The premiere was part of the National Lottery funded project, Herefordshire Life Through a Lens, and showcased the films which the pupils had made.
Pupils were given film-making training and then used photographs from the Derek Evans archive as their inspiration.
They created a variety of films which focused on their local heritage, and the children presented each film.
Elizabeth Colingwood, teacher at Clifford Primary, said: "It’s been a fantastic experience and I hope to take part again next year. I have learned so much."
The event was rounded off with an awards ceremony. Thanks to a Heritage Lottery Fund grant, Catcher Media and Herefordshire Council’s Learning and Achievement Service delivered the training.
The films are available online at www.herefordshirecomputing.com and will form part of a tour in the New Year. For more information visit: www.herefordshirelifethroughalens.org.uk
