REMEMBER when there was a school in Leominster called the Minster College?

Starting its 'Minster' life as the Minster School, it then became the Minster College (a specialist sports college) before it was demolished to make way for the brand new, state-of-the art Earl Mortimer College, which opened in 2010.

While those who attended the Minster in the 90s and early 2000s might not have had the modern school building, there was still something special about school days in Leominster - starting out as fledgling year sevens in L block, moaning all the way to the top of T block and S block, feeling superior as sixth formers in the 'common room' and packing into the 'big hall' for full school assemblies.

Those were the days hey?! If you went to the Minster in the 1990s - early 2000s, you might recognise yourself, friends and family, in some of these pics from our archive.
