A DOG was given oxygen by firefighters after the pet was rescued from a house fire in Ross-on-Wye.
Firefighters from Ross were called at 1.20pm today to Tudor Rise after the house occupier came home to find smoke coming from the house.
There was smoke logging in the two-storey property and a dog was rescued by the firefighters, and given oxygen.
Firefighters used four breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets to put out the fire and positive pressure ventilation to remove the smoke.
The Highways Agency attended to grit the water run-off and the British Red Cross Emergency response attended to support owner.
