GRAFFITI was scrawled across children's play equipment in Hereford over the weekend.
The spray paint was discovered on the play equipment in King George V playing fields, next to the swimming pool, and included the use of swear words.
Parent David Morgan said a lot of people were disgusted by the damage as he said it is usually a nice place to take his son.
He said there has been damage at the play area before and Herefordshire Council will sometimes remove equipment, rather than replacing it.
A council spokesman said: "Herefordshire Council, working in partnership with Balfour Beatty Living Places, has received reports over the weekend of graffiti on play equipment at King George V playing fields; the graffiti was subsequently removed early on Monday morning.
"Safety is of paramount importance to Balfour Beatty Living Places and Herefordshire Council. Play equipment is inspected monthly for any safety defects; if equipment is found to be dangerous action is taken to barrier it off until it can be made safe. Equipment that is found to be beyond repair is removed."
