AN AU PAIR who was described as having a positive impact on people and was good with children killed herself after worries about her future.

Paloma Salas, 25, had been working at a property in Hereford after flying over from Spain in July 2015.

She was found hanged at the address on May 11, after the family returned from a shopping trip.

An inquest held at Hereford Town Hall heard that Paloma was said to be 'anxious' about her future and money problems but there was no indication that she would take her own life.

After fears about her not eating were raised, weekly Skype chats with a psychotherapist were arranged for Paloma.

Mary Clare Berry said that her family decided to employ Ms Salas in July 2015 as her husband often wasn't in the country due to his employment.

"The future was worrying her and we spoke about this. She was finding it very hard as she was sending off CVs and not hearing anything," added Miss Berry.

On the morning of May 11 her employees were taking their child shopping and left at 10.30am asking Ms Salas if she want to come with them She did not and when they returned two hours later they found her dead.

A note left was written in part English stating 'I love you all" and in Spanish stating: 'I love my family over everything.'

Mirei Gesti said that her friend was a positive person and had a positive impact on people.

She added: "Two weeks before her death she said it was hard to put into words what she was feeling and we started to realise her issues were more worrying than we thought.

"She was planning a trip with her cousin which she said was a stress because she didn't have much money. We loved her and we miss her."

County Coroner Mark Bricknell concluded a verdict of suicide.
