PLANS for a tram system in Hereford will be on display in the city centre tomorrow.
Herefordshire Transport Alliance and Rail and Bus for Herefordshire have teamed up to put a stand in High Town to promote the idea of the ‘Pre Metro’ light tram system.
The head of Pre-Metro, Phil Evans, will be on hand in High Town to answer any technical questions about the tram, and Gareth Edwards from R&B Herefordshire, will be there to give an insight into the route and vision for the city.

A petition asking the council to assess the scheme has been raised for people to sign.
Herefordshire Transport Alliance and Rail and Bus for Herefordshire want to promote alternative transport solutions to those currently being proposed by the council.
Cllr Anthony Powers, group leader of It’s our County, said: “I’m very pleased to see a light tram system being proposed for Hereford. It’s Our County has been actively promoting this for some time. Now it’s time for Herefordshire Council to see the obvious benefits and to include light trams in its plans for Hereford.”
Herefordshire Transport Alliance will be in High Town tomorrow between 10am and 4.30pm.
