AN Ascot-themed event raised almost £4,000 for a North Herefordshire charity.

Megan Baker House, which supports children with motor disabilities, held the fundraiser at Bank House Hotel near Worcester when Ascot Ladies Day was transmitted live to the venue for eighty racegoers to enjoy.

There were many beautiful outfits on show and almost £4,000 was raised for the charity which teaches children with motor-disabilities how to gain independence.

Chief Executive, Lee Gough, said: "Although there were so many people who made this such a wonderful day, I hope I will be forgiven for mentioning Paul Hopkins, Cathy Leather and the Bank House hotel who supported us yet again.”

Megan Baker House receives no statutory funding and needs to find around £300,000 each year to continue delivering its life-changing services.
