A NEW service which will provide wellbeing information and signposting for county residents has been launched in Hereford.

WISH opened its hub on St Peter’s Street earlier this month and aims to provide a comprehensive range of information about how to access care and support from children's or adult services in the county.

The WISH directory includes information on living with a disability, how to access advice about financial and legal matters, and the range of care options available in the county as well as more than 500 clubs, societies and organisations.

There will also be regular WISH pop-ups across the county for those unable to travel into Hereford.

WISH is being delivered by Leominster-based charity Services for Independent Living (SIL) has been developed in partnership with Herefordshire Council in response to the local authority’s duty to provide information and signposting to support people’s independence and wellbeing under the Care Act 2014.
