ACTRESS Jenny Seagrove is launching a spicy fundraising campaign in Hereford.

The English actress who played Jo Mills in BBC's Judge John Deed is getting behind a curry campaign to raise money for The Haven, a breast cancer support service.

The regional launch for the charity, which has a centre in St Owen Street in Hereford, will take place on February 26 at John Spice’s Restaurant, Broad Street in Hereford.

People will then be encouraged to hold their own curry parties throughout the Midlands and ask their guests to make a donation to The Haven.

Jenny, who will be at the launch, said: “The idea is to host a curry night at home and ask guests for a donation.

"The Haven has teamed up with Rayessa’s Indian Kitchen to develop special curry packs containing wonderful Indian sauces which can be purchased on the evening."

People can either cook their own curry dishes or take advantage of Rayessa’s sauces- the cookery school is based in Herefordshire.

The Haven will be on hand with a fundraising pack.

Hereford will hold the first regional Curry-Up event to support a national launch in London and other regional areas during 2016.

The Haven provides a wide range of therapies which help people deal with the physical and emotional side effects of breast cancer. The service is free of charge and there is no referral necessary.
