UP to 35 new homes could be built on the western edge of Leominster.

Applicants, S & D Owens & Parry, are proposing two separate schemes close to Ginhall Lane.

Plans for ten homes and garages have been put forward for land at the junction of Cholstrey Road and Ginhall Lane, while a separate plan for 25 new homes is planned for land at, and west of, West Winds on Cholstrey Road.

A design and access statement, available on Herefordshire Council’s website, states that although proposed in two separate applications, the developments are illustrated as being developed on a 'joint comprehensive basis'.

Access to the site containing 25 homes would be gained from Cholstrey Road, with the development comprising a range of middle range and lower cost housing, including affordable homes.

This second application would be served by a new entrance direct onto Ginall Lane and would serve 10 proposed larger detached dwellings.

The statement adds: "The schemes overall propose to deliver a wide choice of high quality homes as required by both central government policy and the Core Strategy."
