A WOMAN was taken to hospital with injuries to her face and body after she was seriously assaulted in Widemarsh Street in Hereford.

Police would like to speak to Ryan James Hendry in connection with the assault on Thursday, September 17 at around 11.40pm near to the Imperial.

Mr Hendry, aged 30, is believed to be in Herefordshire.

Officers said the woman sustained major injuries to her face and body.

Detective Inspector Richard Rees said: "A number of enquiries have been ongoing to trace Ryan, and we would urge anyone who recognises him or may be aware of his whereabouts, to contact police immediately by calling on 101.

"We would also urge the public not to approach him.
