A MOTIVATIONAL speaker will officially kick-start this year's sustainability showcase in Herefordshire.

Diana Morgan-Hill, who fell under a London train and lost her legs- only to be then faced with a lawsuit from British Rail who accused her of trespassing on the tracks, will be at The Courtyard on Thursday.

She will start this year's h.Energy, which has more than 60 events mainly across this weekend, and includes open eco homes, talks, community projects and local food menus.

Diana will be interviewed by Andy Fryers, Hay Festival's sustainability director.

The launch event, which is being supported by the Pippin Trust, starts at 8pm. Tickets are available from the Courtyard Box Office on 01432 340555.
