FOLLOWING a successful campaign to collect teddies for Syrian children, The Teddy Trust is now collecting for deprived children in Malawi.

Ellie Targett, who lives near Leominster, led the collection earlier this year which ended up sending 12,000 teddies to Syria.

She is now looking for secure, accessible storage facilities in the Leominster area for future donations of teddies.

Mrs Targett said: "Following the fantastic response to our initial call for teddies for Syrian child refugees, we are now starting to collect teddies for deprived children in Malawi to be distributed by Glasgow based charity Mary's Meals.

"Syria Relief and Development have also requested more teddies for Syrian refugee children. We now urgently need more space to receive, sort and pack these and future consignments."
