A 70-YEAR-old has appeared in court charged with 17 sexual offences which are alleged to have taken place in Hereford.
Gordon Preece, of Drakeley Farm, Marden appeared at Hereford Magistrates Court on May 21.
He has been charged with rape of a girl under 13 between 2006 and 2013; four counts of indecent assault on a girl under the age of 14 between 1970 and 1971 and 1979 and 1980; and two counts of rape of a female under 16 between 1979 and 1980.
He was also charged with four counts of buggery with a woman between 1980 and 1984.
Other charges included three counts of assault of a girl under 13 by penetration between 2008 and 2011; assault of a girl under 13 between 2010 and 2011; rape of a girl under 13 between 2011 and 2013 and causing or inciting a girl under 13 to engage in sexual activity between 2011 and 2013.
The case was sent to Worcester Crown Court for Monday, June 8, when Preece is expected to enter pleas.
He was given conditional bail and must not get in touch with any of the alleged victims or witness in the case.
He is also not allowed to have any unsupervised contact with any child under 16.
