FRIENDS of a Leominster couple who are raising money for the charity which has helped them to keep treasured memories of their baby boy joined them for a sponsored walk last week.
Sam and Karl Wood, both 27, were heartbroken when they discovered their baby, Ethan, did not have a heartbeat at 27 weeks.
He was stillborn four days later on December 11 last year.
Now, Mrs Wood is raising money for Sands (stillbirth and neonatal charity), which provided her family with a precious memory box to fill with photos and other items to keep their memories of Ethan safe.
Friends and family joined her last week for a three-mile sponsored walk around Leominster, raising more than £500 in total, while she also raised £127 on a tombola and £280 on her justgiving page so far.
Mrs Wood said: "The walk went really well. Everyone really enjoyed it. And it's going to be done every year in memory to Ethan. I'm looking forward to more fundraising in the future for a fab cause."
