A MAN who was airlifted to hospital after sustaining a head injury while at work in Leominster yesterday has died.
Emergency services were called to Arrow Plant and Tool Hire on Southern Avenue, Leominster, shortly after 2pm yesterday after a man was found unconscious.
A community paramedic from Leominster and a land ambulance attended, but stood down when the air ambulance arrived.
The man, in his 50s, was airlifted to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham but died shortly after midnight.
In a statement, West Mercia Police said: "Police are currently treating the death as unexplained and are in liaison with the local authority.
"The man has not yet been formally identified but the coroner has been informed and a post mortem is underway this afternoon (Friday)."
