THERE is a strong police presence outside Hereford Crown Court this afternoon after a clash between parties inside earlier today.
The case concerned charges involving class A drugs.
Tyrone Clarke-Carruthers, 27, of Stamford Grove, Birmingham; Adam Nugent, 41, of Hollybed Farm, Castle Morton, Malvern; Ikhlaq Jahangir, 19, of Belgrave Middleway, Birmingham and Robert Vindal (also known as McPherson), 18, of Pemberley Road, Birmingham were sentenced today for conspiracy to supply class A drugs, namely diamorphine and cocaine.
Vindal was also sentenced to possession of an offensive weapon, namely a knuckle duster; possession of class B drugs (cannabis); and two counts of possession of class A drugs with an intent to supply (diamorphine and crack cocaine).
Robert Jonathan Horne, 41, of Tallow Hill, Worcester was sentenced to 18 months in prison for permitting premises to be used for supplying a controlled drug of class A.
Clarke-Carruthers was sentenced to 2,045 days in prison.
Nugent was handed a 16 month prison sentence.
Jahangir was given 20 months in prison, suspended for two years.
Vindal (McPherson) was given two years in prison suspended for two years and an electronic curfew for three months.
