A PUBLIC meeting in Leominster will discuss the future for the town and surrounding area’s buses.

It takes place at 7pm on Tuesday at the Royal Oak and will give people a chance to ask questions about the future of public transportprovision.

It comes after Herefordshire Council withdrew subsidies for some a number of bus services last year.

Councillor Felicity Norman, one of the meeting’s organisers, said: “We have had grumbles from people unhappy about the changes, with various services having been discontinued or cut back.”

The Hereford Times reported last year how a service to Leominster via Ivington was cut without warning. Other routes affected include those to Bodenham and Ludlow.

“We need to get clear on exactly what is gone as we don’t have the full picture,” added Cllr Norman.
