STAFF and students at the John Masefield High School in Ledbury are celebrating this week, after collecting more shoeboxes filled with gifts than any other school in Herefordshire.
The achievement was confirmed when Operation Christmas Child representatives came to the school this week, to collect all the boxes.
A school spokesperson said: "The final total was 350 boxes, and these will all go to underprivileged children in Belarus. This is the second biggest haul we have achieved in the seven years that we have been participating in the project as a whole school.
"The house who contributed the most boxes this year was Jubilee, but all four piles were beautiful and the result of a huge amount of hard work from the students and staff."
