THIS year, Kington Food Festival turns 10, and organiser Pam Peek is expecting the best year yet for the west Herefordshire eaters’ extravaganza.

On December 6, the festival will return, having grown from a 18 stands in its inaugural year to now boasting 65 stalls offering the best from local producers.

Running from 9.30am to 2.30pm in the town centre, the free event will give festival-goers the chance to eat, drink and be merry – with a Real Ale Challenge, a food tasting competition and ‘Santa Mania’.

There will also be festive music on throughout the day.

Founded by Pam Peek, who runs The Grapevine greengrocers on Kington’s High Street with husband Martin, said the festival has gone from strength to strength.

She said: “This year have some of the best food and drink producers from Herefordshire and the surrounding counties – it’s great to see how the festival’s grown.

“It’s a lovely day for the town, and it will be fun for all the family.”
