EMERGENCY services were called after four vehicles were involved in a collision on the A49 south of Hereford on Tuesday evening.

Police were called at around 6.10pm to the A49 near the Callow after a Nissan Qashqai which was travelling towards Hereford was in collision with a Suzuki GSR 750 motor bike travelling in the opposite direction.

The motor cyclist was taken to Hereford County Hospital by ambulance after sustaining a back injury but his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

Shortly after, the Qashqai was in collision with a Nissan Micra and a Peugeout Boxer motor home.

A fire crew from Hereford also attended to make a propane gas cyclinder – which was in the motor home – safe and the road was closed while this was completed.
