  I WAS sorry that Sarah Carr has stated in recent campaign literature that her main opponent is “a career politician, whose family doesn’t live locally and doesn’t use local services, and will toe
  the party line whether it’s right or wrong for Hereford”.

  IMPROVING the city’s inner ring road is a laudable project. But why is it referred to as an inner ring road when there is no other ring road?

  IHAVE been reading about the proposed Herefordshire expansion and understand that there are draft plans to enlarge the size of Leominster by 50 per cent. I
  am amazed and horrified.

  TO avoid confusion amongst readers of the Hereford Times, the 80 per cent support referred to in a report &#40;February 25) was for the proposed redesign of the
  Newmarket Street and Blueschool Street section of the inner ring road in Hereford and not for the new link road as stated in the headline.

  AS a taxi operator in Hereford city, I am very pleased to see that the council is going to build a road from Aylestone Hill to Edgar Street, but very
  disappointed that it intends to restrict traffic in Newmarket Street.

           <description>
  I’M sure I was not alone in being alarmed at your recent story reporting the numbers of uninsured drivers in Leominster. However, sadly, I’m not surprised.
  I think Martin Rover-Parkes from the Herefordshire Advanced Motoring Group hit the nail on the head when he said that many young drivers feel they can’t afford the insurance on top of all the other
  costs of getting on the road.

  ON February 25 you kindly printed a letter from me objecting to your publication of an image of Blueschool/Newmarket Street from ESG &#40;Herefordshire) Ltd because it wouldn’t fit in between the

           <description>
  Could it actually be possible to spend your way out of a recession? For a small business with fixed overheads and falling sales then probably not, but for an organisation like Herefordshire Council it may actually be possible.
