Geoff Loosemore of The New Barn, Dinedor questions how this benefits Hereford to lose Rockfield DIY

First published in Letters

FIRST the cattle market closes and we lose all the small traders followed by the loss of many parking places.

Soon we are also to lose Rockfield, one of the few DIY stores which really give customer service.

The Edgar Street Grid seems only to have a downside.

When can we expect to see some upside benefits? I presume there are some.

GEOFF LOOSEMORE, The New Barn, Dinedor.

The popular independently owned Rockfield store is to close by the end of this year after the site was sold to Herefordshire Council for a link road as part of the overall Old Cattle Market scheme.
