D Cartwright, Stockenhill Road, Leominster says new lift of no use at certain times

I WAS so proud of living in Leominster when I read in the Hereford Times that our railway station had installed a customer lift to cross over the bridge.
My family and I had just been up north for a family christening and arrived back in Leominster at 5.30pm to find the lift out of order – the reason being that it is not in use when the ticket office is closed.
My dad can’t walk very far so you can imagine this was quite stressful. It took about 10 minutes to cross the bridge and steps.
If a wheelchair user wanted to use it this would be a major problem because they would be expecting to use the lift. Please could Arriva Trains Wales look into this problem.
