Chris Bucknell of Cliveden Grove, Hereford says two great events were very well run

CAN I, on behalf of the Wye Valley Military Vehicle Trust and the Hereford and District Preservation Society, thank all those who planned and put on the two excellent events that we were privileged to attend last week.

Diamond Day was amazing, the organisation on the day near faultless, despite the obvious challenges posed by the sheer size of the event and, dare I say it, the weather.

It was a brilliant showcase for all things Herefordshire and something that will be talked about for many years to come.

Historic Hereford Day, encompassing exhibits and activities across the city was also extremely enjoyable and again, the events team came up trumps with superb organisation and support on the day.

So thank you to all those who were responsible for putting on the events, to our members who came along with their vehicles, engines and other exhibits and, of course to the many thousands of people who came along on the day.

This was Herefordshire at its best and a great credit to all involved.
