Robert Tabor, Chairman, Llanrothal, Monmouth, says help us put Trow on Wye
8:00am Monday 2nd July 2012 in Letters
IN HIS letter Steve Lloyd (Readers’ Times, June 14) talks about access to the River Wye and makes reference to the Wye trow The Hereford Bull.
Presently the trow is moored at Nielsen’s Yard, Gloucester Docks being prepared to be on show at Hereford’s Diamond Day on July 11.
She will then be on display during Historic Hereford Day on July 14, before being moved to Chepstow as part of its festival.
Our objective for the trow is to make it available to as many people as possible.
To achieve this, we will need simple access to the river where it can be driven down a ramp on a launching trailer. We are keen to hear from people who can help us with this and also to achieve our objective.
During the autumn we are going to put together our programme for next year and would like to hear from organisations or individuals who would like to be involved.
