With reference to the letter about advertising boards on pavements, Readers’ Times, June 7, could I suggest that it would be helpful if an official reply could be provided from those who have responsibility for ensuring these areas are kept clear of too many obstacles? Not only is it inconvenient for people with disabilities, as mentioned in the original letter, such obstacles can cause difficulties for everyone. At least Hereford does have pavements, which is not always the case in parts of villages not too far away.
