I AM trying to trace the Gwilliams of Hay-on-Wye and have become stuck with Ruby Gwilliam, the first cousin to my great-grandfather Bert Davies of Lower Moccas and Blakemere.
Ruby married Fred Griffiths in 1938 and lived with him at Paris House Hay until her retirement in the 1980s. They then sold up and moved to The Cedars, Cusop, until Ruby's death in 1991.
Fred moved shortly afterwards to live with his nephew John Langford of Hazel Dene, Ewyas Harold until his death in December 1997.
